A stronger magnet still needs the right wall rating
Flipper NANO FLOAT has a maximum glass rating of 6 mm; Tunze Care Magnet strong+ reaches a maximum rating of 25 mm. The full range is 6 to 25 mm. Flipper and Tunze dimensions and wall ratings supply the scraper details, without cleaning trials or scratch-resistance assessments. Start with your aquarium wall thickness, then choose a scraper rated for it rather than judging magnet strength from the cleaner’s size.
Leave turning room beside the tank trim
The Flipper Pico cleaning head measures 1.3 in by 1.3 in, compared with 6.7 in by 3.4 in for MAX FLOAT. A broad head offers a different footprint around corners and decorations; picture the entire head moving through that space. Head lengths span 1.3 to 6.7 in and widths span 1.3 to 3.4 in.
Flipper Edge and Edge MAX have no head dimensions here. Their glass ratings cannot answer the clearance question.
Choose the blade for the aquarium surface
Glass thickness does not indicate acrylic compatibility. Before putting a pad or blade against the wall, read the maker’s approval for that surface. Cleaning-head dimensions are missing for 2 products, so those scrapers need an additional size check.

Can I use these on an acrylic tank?
Only where the maker says so. The ratings here are for glass, and acrylic scratches more easily, so use the blade or pad the maker names for acrylic, if it offers one.
Is there a minimum glass thickness too?
There can be. This page filters on each cleaner’s upper limit only, so read the lower end of the range on the product page before you put a strong magnet on thin glass. Pane thickness decides it. Tunze’s Care Magnet long, strong and strong+ share one 5.5 x 3.4 in body but are rated for 15, 20 and 25 mm. Flipper’s Pico and NANO FLOAT suit 6 mm nano glass. Use only the blade for your tank material, and keep grit off the pad.
Why don’t the Flipper Edge models appear in size results?
Flipper gives no body measurements for the Edge or Edge MAX, so a length or width limit leaves them out. The standard Edge is rated for 12 mm glass and Edge MAX for the same thickness as Tunze strong+ above.
