Do equal aquarium fertilizer doses supply equal nutrients?

Their nutrients differ. Aquarium Co-Op Easy Green supplies broad nutrients; Easy Iron supplies iron. Each label starts at 1 mL per 10 US gal.

Follow the exact dosing label; this finder cannot calculate a safe dose for livestock or water.

How the comparison works

Your choices are compared with each model’s product details. A missing or conflicting value stays unknown and cannot satisfy a choice you select. The starting order helps you browse; it does not rate real-world performance.

Source dates appear with each link below. A source date does not confirm today's price or stock.

Choose the nutrient job, then the dosing routine

Seachem Flourish supplies micro and trace nutrients; Flourish Iron targets iron. Aquarium Co-Op has a broad-nutrient formulation alongside its targeted supplements. Choose the nutrient job before comparing liquid volume; a targeted supplement is not automatically a replacement for a broader formulation. These roles are summaries of maker descriptions, not complete ingredient profiles.

Schedules also differ: Flourish Iron says as needed, while API LEAF ZONE says weekly. Reading fertilizer labels rather than measuring plant growth leaves livestock safety outside this comparison. Keep the conditions attached to a schedule, including lighting guidance for Aquarium Co-Op's broad-nutrient formulation.

Compare label volume without assuming equal strength

The original label doses range from 1 to 10 mL, but they refer to different water volumes. Seachem Flourish pairs 5 mL with 60 US gal; API LEAF ZONE pairs 5 mL with 10 US gal. Equal spoonfuls therefore do not represent equal label instructions.

The dose column scales a label dose to the same water volume. It does not equalize nutrient concentrations or turn a conditional schedule into a weekly total. Read the dosing conditions. Follow the formulation's full directions for your aquarium; this finder does not calculate a tank-specific dose.

Before you buy

Does a smaller dose mean a better fertilizer?

The products contain different nutrients and concentrations. The column only compares the volume of liquid in one maker-listed dose. Aquarium Co-Op Easy Green supplies broad nutrients and Easy Iron supplies iron; each label starts at 1 mL per 10 US gal. The nutrient role is different. Easy Green suits a broad-formula comparison, while Easy Iron is a supplement. Equal liquid volume does not mean equal nutrients, and this finder cannot calculate a safe dose for your livestock or water.

Can a single-nutrient supplement replace a broad fertilizer?

This finder does not treat them as substitutes. Use the nutrient-focus filter and read the maker’s complete directions for the formula you choose.

Does this tool calculate a safe dose for your aquarium?

It compares published label information. It does not account for your water chemistry, livestock, plant growth, or other supplements.
