It hinges on the outlet. Nine of these 20 are plug-in only, with 8 or 14 ft cords where given.
Cordless ones claim 60 minutes to 4 hours per charge, and four, like Wahl’s KMC+, run either way.

Your choices are compared with each model’s product details. A missing or conflicting value stays unknown and cannot satisfy a choice you select. The starting order helps you browse; it does not rate real-world performance.

Blade systems separate body clipping from detail work
Pet-coat clipping and blade heat remain unassessed; maker package and power descriptions supply this comparison. Andis Easy Clip Groom describes a detachable blade system, while Wahl Bravura Lithium uses an adjustable blade system. Choose the blade and attachments for the grooming work you intend to do, then confirm compatibility with any combs or blades you already own. Detachable does not mean that every attachment fits every clipper.
Corded, cordless and cord-or-cordless descriptions appear among these 20 clippers. Power type and blade system are separate choices: a cordless label cannot show cutting suitability.
A runtime claim needs its battery context
Runtime descriptions are available for 11 clippers and charge-time descriptions for 8. Wahl KM Cordless says 120 minutes of runtime and 60 minutes of charging; Oster’s cord-or-cordless detachable-blade model says 100 minutes of runtime and 80 minutes of charging. Compare the exact configuration you will receive rather than assuming every cordless package includes the same battery arrangement.
The maker descriptions use different units and sometimes refer to a removable battery. A runtime claim does not tell you how long a clipper will run on your dog’s coat, and charge time does not measure cutting performance. Keep the maker’s own qualifier when a duration is conditional.
Noise numbers leave most of this comparison unanswered
Noise figures are available for 3 clippers. Oneisall’s stainless-steel detachable-blade clipper says 55 dB, while its detachable-battery model says less than or equal to 60 dB. These maker figures do not describe a common measurement distance, condition or a dog’s response, so they cannot support a numerical noise comparison across the whole page.
If sound is central to your choice, read the maker’s measurement conditions and the intended coat-use description. Do not convert quiet language into a decibel value or treat a missing noise figure as evidence of a quiet clipper.
Before you buy
Which kits come with combs and extra heads?
Only some. Andis’s Easy Clip Groom packs a blade, six attachment combs, scissors and a case; Wahl’s Deluxe U-Clip is a 16-piece kit; and the oneisall FC09 has four heads plus five guard combs. Eight clippers name a #10 blade as the one included.
Can I swap batteries partway through a groom?
On a few. Wahl’s Arco comes with two drop-in batteries rated at 80 minutes each, the Andis Pulse ZR II and Oster Cordless Turbo A5 use removable lithium-ion packs, and the Grandmaster Pro1 has a detachable battery. Where a charge time is given, it runs from 60 minutes (Wahl KM Cordless) to 3 hours on a plug for the oneisall models.
Does the coat description tell me which blade to use?
It’s the maker’s broad wording, such as ‘all coats, heavy-duty’ or ‘thin/medium coats, detail work’, and it says nothing about cutting length; Wahl pitches its BravMini+ trimmer at faces, ears and paws rather than full-body clips. Read it alongside the blade and comb set that comes with the version you buy.
