Choose the vehicle connection before the length

Kurgo Direct to LATCH Swivel Tether attaches to a LATCH anchor and adjusts from 12 to 22 in. EzyDog Click Adjustable Car Restraint attaches to a seat-belt buckle and adjusts from 17.5 to 26 in. Those are different attachment routes; pick the compatible vehicle connection before comparing adjustment ranges.

Known maximum lengths range from 22 to 32 in across 9 tethers. The Mighty Paw Chew Proof version at 32 in also has a 32 in minimum, so it does not offer a shorter setting here. Bungee stretch is excluded from adjustable length. Our comparison reads attachment and length descriptions without evaluating these tethers in a collision.

A fit match is not evidence of crash protection

No verified positive crash result is supplied for these products. Kurgo’s Direct to LATCH Swivel and Direct to Seatbelt Swivel carry a maker statement disclaiming a crash evaluation; absent statements on other products do not establish protection either.

Check the maker’s instructions for the exact harness and vehicle combination before travel. Where inch and centimetre lengths conflict, resolve the discrepancy before purchase rather than relying on the more convenient figure. Connection and adjustment measurements cannot settle restraint performance.

Before you buy

Has any tether here passed a crash test?

None shows one. Some length or attachment details are missing, and a blank crash field means no maker statement, not a passing test. Mighty Paw's cable and component-strength claims aren't crash results either, and EzyDog cautions that its Seat Belt Restraint may not prevent injury in an accident. Kurgo says three of its tethers had no crash test, and RC Pets says the same of Sit Tight.

Does the bungee length include stretch?

Kurgo gives the adjustable range and the stretch separately: the bungee adds 10 in when fully stretched, and that extra travel isn't a length setting, so the finder leaves it out.

Which tethers work with EzyDog's DRIVE harness?

EzyDog says neither of its own restraints, the Click and the Seat Belt Restraint, is for use with its DRIVE Harness. Kurgo's Direct to Seatbelt Tether belongs on a harness, never a collar, and Kurgo excludes Volvo and advises against Ford F-Series trucks. Whatever you buy, follow that maker's harness instructions before the first drive.

Why does the LATCH tether have a length note?

Kurgo's inch and centimeter minimums for the Direct to LATCH Swivel disagree, with 38 cm on the metric side, about 15 in. The inch figure is kept here, so ask Kurgo which is right if you need its shortest setting.
